Unboxing of the awesome Star Wars Legion Cassian & K2S0!

Unboxing star wars legion cassian andor k2so

The Star Wars Legion Cassian Andor commander expansion is the focus of today’s post?! Oh, and K2SO, how could I forget that sweet security droid! I did mention in what is my second post on this blog that I would be covering more Star Wars Legion. Whilst I do have some Star Wars Rebel Alliance kits, they are, unfortunately, all in storage! Saying that, you may have seen my two videos on painting Luke Skywalker over on my YouTube channel. Enough of that though, let’s get to THIS kit!

Cracking open this kit gives us a plastic sprue containing Cassian Andor and K2SO, plastic bases, card & tokens. You can see the cardboard tokens and cards in the image below.

Within the above picture, you get four new command cards, three of which are for Cassian and one for K2SO. You also get nine upgrade cards and two unit cards. You get enough tokens within this box to run these two miniatures in your games, should you need them!

Building Cassian & K2SO

Cassian and k2so sprue

From the above sprue, I am picking the sniper variant for Cassian and Jyn’s blaster & a grenade for K2SO. Firstly, you can take Cassian on his own, or with K2SO, but you can’t take K-2SO without Cassian! It seems to me that Cassian is better farther away sniping away, which is why I’m building the sniper option.

You can see I built Cassian with the A208-CFE sniper option, whilst K2SO has Jyn’s blaster and a grenade. I did not glue Cassian’s head in, as I wish to paint that separately! K2SO is open enough to not need sub-assembly of any kind, which is a great thing. I hope that soon I can do a couple of painting videos for these over on my YouTube channel. Expansion wrap up

The kits themselves, were remarkably easy to put together and I barely had to do any seamline removal. This is always a good thing as it means you can get to the fun part (painting) sooner! As I don’t currently play this game and just paint them for fun, it’s rather hard to say if these two are good in game or not. They seem like they are good support character and from what I have read, work well boosting Luke or Sabine. Do let me know in the comments below though! I hope I can record some painting videos soon for YouTube, but as always that comes down to the amount of time I have!
