This is definitely not a test post, but more of a statement to building a solid foundation for this new blog. I’ve run a couple of blogs in the past ranging from classic minis (the cars) to baking. It has been a while, so there is a lot to remember!
This blog will help keep me focussed on the building and painting of miniatures, something that I have enjoyed since 1987.
I do have a lot of love for Warhammer, especially 40k, something that I got into after playing games of Space Hulk & Space Crusade. My first army back then was the Space Wolves – I still own a lot of those miniatures except for Ulrik. They really need stripping & a repaint – maybe that might be a “retro” project in the future! After the Space Wolves there was a bit of gap of Warhammer, but then I returned with the Ultramarines!!
Apart from Warhammer 40k, there will be there will be Horus Heresy, & Necromunda. Starting off, these will be the main focus of the blog. I DO have a Freeguild army to revisit & I shall be making a Slaves to Darkness army. Staying in the realm of fantasy, I do LOVE Mordheim. I will enjoy doing something with that – maybe when the Old World lands, that might become more viable.
Building Beyond Warhammer
I also have my eyes on Star Wars: Legion. Specifically, I’ve collected some Hoth Defenders & I’d certainly like a Hoth Attackers force. Along side that, Infinity might be a nice choice as a palette refresher when I need a break from other stuff. With Star Wars: Legions & Infinity, I might be able to do some occasional Marvel Crisis Protocol?! I do have some busts & 75mm kits that I shall be attempting every so often.
