Building Von Ryan's leapers!
Today, we are cracking on and building Von Ryan’s Leapers!! Who was Von Ryan? is the question that I would like to see answered! Do we know?

The kit from Warhammer 40k Leviathan contains sprues to build three separate Von Ryan’s Leapers models.
Building the kit
This kit has enough parts to build three separate Von Ryan’s leapers. There aren’t different options for them, or indeed different poses – but there is a bit of wiggle room for the arm positions. Don’t expect head options or arm options on this kit!
As a result, building Von Ryan’s leapers are relatively easy to put together – there aren’t masses of fiddly parts to worry about!
Von Ryan's list
In our previous post on building the termagants, I posted a 500 point list to get us started off.
Now, it’s not going to be a surprise, but I am no expert on tyranids, but I have been thinking. I don’t fancy building a horde list for Tyranids, but I want to paint some monsters!
I have now made a 1000-point list containing the monsters I like, which is probably far from ideal.

My only hesitation is: will they re-release the carnifex in a new sculpt?? As you can see, they have re-released the lictor and a host of other tyranids. Some new carnifexes would be a fantastic!! They would also be a fun painting project for here and my YouTube channel!
Wrapping up!
I know that this list is not great nor optimised. However, I think it will be a fun project to paint. Will I take it 2000-points? Probably not, but I did say that about necrons in 9th edition and now I certainly have that much. If they come out with another magazine like Imperium, maybe the list would get closer to 2000-points!
