Goliath Gang gets built

Goliath gang

When our Goliath Gang gets built up at the gym, or in this case, on the dining room table, they are down for max gains! As from a previous post, we know there has been a vague interaction with the Escher gang. We don’t know the exact details, but we suspect it was something like a stimm overdose.

I’m going to start with the juve of the gang, or in the case of the Goliaths, the bully. I armed him with an axe and a spud-jacker – whatever one of those it! I’ll clarify at this point I am building directly from the box with the upgrade sprue to hand.

Our Goliath bruiser is next up, this time armed visibly with a bolter and some grenades! I am very wary of spamming the same weapon too much, both in game & for painting reasons!

The next miniature is the first of two Goliath bruisers with shotguns. Goliaths want to be in close combat, and what’s scarier than a giant on steroids running at you with a shotgun?!

The second bruiser I designated to be the “running” man, thankfully the kit has some with dynamic poses. I would say there is a bit of a concern with this kit looking a bit TOO static. As a result, these running Goliath gang members are a couple of my favourites!

Finally, I built the Goliath bruiser specialist with a grenade launcher and a cigar – it might look cool, but don’t smoke!! I’ve also given him a big combat knife in case someone rushes him so that he has some protection! However, access to my bits-box is restricted heavily due to it being in storage! I am planning on making some specific conversion-only posts in the future though!

Wrap up & thoughts

We’ve assembled our first five Goliath gang members!! I may add some extra details on the bases before priming, but I think we have a good base for our bruisers and bully. We only have one bully currently, I certainly thought of making one with an axe and stub pistol or similar, maybe in the future? Three shotguns seemed a bit dull to me, so that is why we have one bolter. I definitely want to model one with a stub gun, in the future, as it looks cool!

For the next part of our gang building, I’ll build a melee forge tyrant and two Goliath gang forge bosses. I plan on doing a heavy bolter wielding Forge Tyrant, but I don’t have the parts yet! I will look forward to seeing you in the next blog post, which will be soon!
